Room seemed clean, the staff was nice. It is an older hotel and our room has been updated, mostly. Pool was down for maintenance, but we weren't planning to use it anyways. Breakfast was nothing special - biscuits and gravy (average tasting), cereal, waffle maker, and apples. If just passing through and looking for a place to get a few hours of sleep, the hotel is just fine. For a family vacation, maybe not.

As for the room, the bathtub was barely draining, and the sink stopper had to be removed so it would drain. The room cleanliness was passable but could've been better. The phone system was down. Had to walk to room 106 twice to ask for extra towels and pillows. We were told that the free breakfast would come in a bag - we didn't hang around for that.

Stayed 8/11/17. The office was under renovation and they were running the hotel from room 106. The hotel was nearly vacant, perhaps five rooms were occupied (and several of those were from workmen doing construction on the hotel). The hotel was likewise understaffed. The desk people were trying hard to stay open, but THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR BUSINESS. If you're planning on staying within a week of this review date, don't make a reservation in advance, and if the lobby is torn up, keep on driving to another hotel.

This location has recently reverted back to a Red Roof Inn. They've gone through a complete remodel. Fresh paint, new linens, updated fixtures, and faux wood floors. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Pet friendly like all other Red Roof Inn. Complementary breakfast with usual offerings. Waffles, cold cereal, various breads and bagels, coffee, and juices. Extremely well priced.

We have stayed here before and although they are in the process of renovating, there are a few things to be aware of. Toilet was clogging, bathroom light with fan makes a horrendous noise, smoking room had no ashtray and it took two hours to get one, chain for the door was bent out so much it took quite a lot of rigging to get it latched. Staff was cordial, room and bed were clean and I LOVE THE LAMINATE FLOORING instead of filthy carpeting!

Stayed here during my move from Atlanta to LA. The rooms were clean, had microwave and refrigerator, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Good stop for a quick stay in Amarillo.
