Had to move furniture so I could see the tv from the bed.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. There were several issues with our experience. We got in late at night, and all we wanted to do was sleep. After checking in and getting the room key, my husband drove us around to the side and all the way down to the end, as that was the only section with available parking. The entry door on that end was out of order, something the front desk didn't bother to let my husband know upon check in. So we ended up having to walk all the way around to the front entrance. The room had a terrible dingy smell, I'm guessing it was the AC. The bathroom had pubic hair on the floor around the toilet, and there were food crumbs on the carpet by the bed. Upon laying down we realized the mattress was sunk in right in the middle, and each time you moved there was an awful, squeaking sound that was extremely loud. I didn't get any sleep because of it. But the "best" part of our stay was finding out that they overcharged us. I paid for the room online, but when we checked in they needed the card info to hold for any extra charges. Thankfully we checked our account before leaving this morning and saw that they had taken over $200 extra dollars out! The lady working the front desk was apologetic and fixed it, but we still have to wait up to 72 hours before getting it back. $135 should get you a far better experience than this. We will never stay at this place again and do not recommend it to others.

Stayed here on the way back from a family trip to Austin. Not bad for the most part. Checked in and everything was great at check-in. They hooked me and my family up with a nice quiet room. We get to the room and this is where it went down hill. We noticed that the "king" size bed was a queen. No two ways about it. The tag on the sheets even said queen and fit perfectly. How did we find the tag you say? Well...the fitted sheet was inside out, not that was necessary since one could simply see through the sheet because of how thin they were. I went down to the front desk to tell them about the two issues we had (one being the wrong size of bed two being the fact that I can see through the sheets). The front desk people said it was weird cause they only have queens in their double bed rooms and kings in the rest. I assured them there was only one bed in my room. They got the General Manager, Mario Cuevas, who told me it was impossible that the bed was a queen. I offered to show him and he said he didn't need to see it but asked "What do you want me to do about it?" I tell him I suppose double sheeting the bed would be nice and confirming it was a queen. Maid comes up, double sheets the bed and confirms Yes it is a queen. I went back down and Mario (he was on his way out I think, probably to sell some used cars) tells me that it is a king size bed again. I ask him what king sized bed takes a queen sized fitted sheet and showed him a picture. He says "I buy what marriot tells me to buy, besides I don't think you know what you are talking about. I have king sized box springs so the mattress must be King sized". I tell him that if all the beds in his hotel are queens it is fine I just don't want to be charged for something I am not getting. He gets angry and asks me "what do you want me to do about it" I asked him to switch us to another room. He does so begrudgingly and we get to our new room. This time the fitted sheet is a king....but it is way too big for the mattress. Oh boy! I let it go. I figure I can write this review and let Marriot know. Update: I contacted Marriot about this and they took my complaint and did...NOTHING about it. The assistant manager responded to the complaint with some standard "I am covering for my boss" line. The manager didn't even respond himself. I was dumbfounded by the lack of care Marriot showed. Cool. Guess what I won't be staying with them anymore AND I've had my company move to do business with another chain. Later!

For double the price, one would have thought they would have decent coffee, if not a basic continental breakfast.

I rarely if ever leave bad reviews. This experience left a bad taste, and needlessly emptier wallet.

NO SOAP OR SHAMPOO in the room, had to go get some for myself.

Coffee set up in the room worse than the motel six I stayed at last night.

I had a balance on my Marriott card to cover breakfast , went to pay for my $15.00 breakfast but (this Marriott) didn't participate in the use of their card for food. I've stayed in Courtyard Marriott's in other major cities which did serve a continental breakfast. and more then likely never stay in another Marriott. I rate this Marriott as the worse I've stayed in.

Used to stay here when in the area for work. Staying there many many times in the past 2 years with more than one room each time. Well the staff here made a wrong charge on one of my cards one time and while trying to get it resolved the current manager was completely unprofessional. He said he would call me back and never did. Once i called back on conference call with my bank he told me "I don't have to deal with this”. Guess they just make anybody managers now days. Horrible customer service. I'll be taking my companies business elsewhere...

Arrived at the Courtyard by Marriott at 8006 I-40 in Amarillo,Tx on 10/27/2017. Up on arriving to the entrance of driveway, a hole in driveway entrance was big enough to sink an 18 wheeler. First impression didn't excite me. We checked into our room which did appear clean but had a dingy smell. We checked the bathroom which was another major issue. The bath tube had heavy rust stains and was not except-able to my standards to bath in. Returned to front desk and showed a picture of tube. The clerk apologized said maintenance was to have fixed the problem. They moved us to another room to only find the same problem with the bath tube heavy having rust stains. The wallpaper was coming off the wall in bathroom.

When I asked if my car was secure, I was told that all the break ins where in the front and back of parking lot! Really? If you have had breaks in, you improve your security, if not with cameras, than with a security person. I slept uneasy all night worrying about my car.

First, the personnel were professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean if not adequately provisioned.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY

BUT, I was charged $20 MORE, by walking up to the desk than I could have if I had sat in my car in the parking lot and made the reservation from my car. (I discovered by checking after I checked in
