Office staff has been phenomenal in communicating with me. He's a neurosurgeon, so sometimes things have to change unexpectedly schedule-wise. Nurses, PA: very easy to talk to. Dr. Paullus can have a tendency to talk fast and above my head but he has never had a problem explaining again or differently when I've said, "Whoa! What are you talking about?"
My complaint is Not against Dr. Paullus, or his nursing staff. It is however against his office staff. They are extremely rude , at times acting as if the patients are a burden to them. Makes office visits and phone calls unpleasant, no matter how great everyone else is.
He did not like talking about anything but the direct situation at hand, and that's probably a good thing. One step at a time, priorities. Focus.
I did not expect my recovery to be what it was. I don't know if that is my ignorance, an out-of-the-ordinary reaction to the surgery I had or a patient education issue, but I was seriously ill-prepared. My expectations almost three months out are still nowhere near reality. That is my only reason for knocking off a star.
