While this Vet's office is one of the more expensive in town, their quality of service shows through the cost. Very attentive staff who will do minor things for free if you're just there for a quick pick up visit. (At least in my case, I asked them to check in her ear for any foreign objects when I went to get a test result back and it was done free of charge.)
This clinic is fantastic in every way. The doctors and staff are very caring and knowledgeable. We take all 3 of our GSDs to Dr. McWhorter and they recieve excellent care.
I have never had a bad experience here, in fact the total opposite. ALL of the staff are friendly and caring. I have had numerous furbabies treated here for more than 20 yrs, and I can not praise the vets and techs enough, absolutely love Dr Culp and Shelley!
I had a horrible experience at Animal Medical Center. I am new to the area. I made an appointment to have my dogs teeth cleaned. I took Molly and Sammy in for their appointment. I got a call around noon that all went well and they had a few extractions and some sutures. The horror came when I picked them up. Molly had 17 teeth removed and Sammy had 11 teeth removed. They never called me during the exam or the procedure to tell me that they had run into such an issue. A routine dental cleaning turned into major surgery. They were going to give me my dogs without even speaking to the doctor until I insisted. When I finally got my dogs Sammy was wet. They gave him a bath because he rolled in feces and Molly still had feces on her legs. Where did they put them after the procedure that they could roll in another dogs feces. They also gave my Molly and Sammy a rabies shot after I had spoken with 3 different individuals reminding them they did not need their shots, plus it was in their records. Also, Molly evidently has glaucoma which was noted on the paperwork but never told to me by anyone. If I hadn't read it thoroughly I would not have known. I will NEVER bring my babies back to this place.
AMC was so attentive to my dear cat. The doctor was patient and explained everything and answered all questions. We went here for a while and we eventually found that my sweet girl had a brain tumor (after being told by another clinic that it was just food allergies!). The day we had to put her down was one of the worst days of my life. The staff was so kind and careful. They even had tears in their eyes. I finally have adopted cats again and this will definitely continue to be my vet clinic.
