Our sitter called the facility and asked them when was the last time the dogs were let out, only to find out that the dogs were NOT let outside during their stay there and were expected to do their business in the kennel, where they sleep. This was very disappointing to find out this information after the fact that they had been boarded at the facility for 5 full days.

My complaint with this facility is that the services that were provided were not what was explained to me up front. I chose this facility to board my dogs because they have large kennels, would let the dogs out 2-3 times a day and were reasonably priced. I was very disappointed to find out that my animals were not let outside to use the restroom and were expected to do so in their kennel. Had I known this information up front I would have chosen a different facility.

Upon my return to town, I contacted Acoma Pines and spoke with the office manager/CEO. I voiced my concern and was promptly told that if I wanted my dogs to be let outside I could have paid additional for that service or I should have taken them to a different facility. Certainly I would have taken my pets to a different facility had I know this information up front, or I would have paid for the additional service of taking the dogs outside if I had known that they were not going to be let outside. I was told up front that the dogs would be let out of the kennel 2-3 times a day. To the lay person this means going outside to use the restroom, not being shuffled to a different kennel while cleaning occurs. For the service that I received, I could have just put the dogs up in the garage with a big bowl of food and would have saved myself $209 in “boarding fees” and the $150 to have my pet sitter’s car detailed.

They absolutely botched my bird!! I am beyond upset!! I wanted his wings clipped.....NOT be wingless!!! My poor bird tried to glide off his cage and fell instead. He was flapping his wings and just fell. They cut so much of his wings there aren't any!!!! I am never going back!! Absolutely aweful!!!

The tech assistant answered all our questions about our new bulldog and loved on her. Dr Praeger was attentive, gave a lot of information. Very compassionate about our old dog with a heart condition. Also the visit and shots were half the cost of another place we called.

We have taken all 3 of our dogs there and we have had nothing but great service. The staff are very attentive and helpful and best of all my pets don't mind walking through the door; I've been to other clinics where my dog was terrified to even get out the car.

I changed from another vet, who charged an arm and a leg plus sent home ticks (YES TICKS) with the medicine for my dog. Acoma (on the other hand) took very good care of my dog and they are very compassionate, which more than I can say for the young vet that saw my dog and wouldn't even come out to see me when I had a problem (in other word's - wouldn't look you in the eye except to tak your money). Acoma Vet will meet you head on and answer all your questions, AND look you in the eye no matter what. That is a great person and a vet!

Our pets were picked up at the facility on time by our pet sitter and were loaded up in her car. Somehow our credit card information was lost and our pet sitter had to make other arrangements to pay for our pets stay at the facility. On the drive home (which is about 5 minutes from the place of business), all three of the animals started urinating and defecating in the car. Once the pets arrived home, all three of them lapped up water as if they had not had a drink in several days. Of course this was very upsetting. It seemed as if the dogs were not let out to use the restroom and were not given water during their stay.
