Always great food and service. I love the small group seating around the grill and watching the chefs cook. Not only do the chefs make great food but they are nice and entertaining. This is one of our favorite places for celebrations!
Very good Sashimi despite the location being in the Panhandle. It's no California sushi bar. But they are very courteous, and despite the price, you get what you pay for in dazzle if you come in a group for the hibachi. They still have a very fresh selection for sashimi. But it might be fair to chase it down with a beer and or saki.
The appearance of your restaurant is direct reflection on the the cleanliness of your kitchen. If the customers feel that the areas, that are seen, are dirty and not well maintained; then what impression are you giving about the kitchen?
4. Menus: the ones that I was handed were torn , ripped, and greasy. Cleaning these could be a great job for the two employees at the front and replacing the menus when damaged. Just think of the food that could get trapped in those cracks.
1. When you walk up to the front of a place that you are about to spend $100-$150 on then you should be expect to see the exterior of the restaurant well maintained. This is the first impression that all customers get. If you see that the management has spent the time to freshen the paint replace dry rotted wood then you assume high quality.
Please note that I haven't eaten here so my experience is based on first impressions.
5. Smoke: I get it, you "open cook" in the back rooms and they are well ventilated. However; the ventilation for the smoking at the bar is poor and radiates throughout the entire restaurant. As a former smoker it is difficult to be in that environment. I don't mind smoking inside if it is ventilated correctly and the smoke is contained at the bar.
3. No greeting at the door. Two employees on their cell phones waiting for someone to show up and introduce themselves to them. This should be reversed, greeting should happening promptly after walking through the door. Possible suggestion: Change the location of where they stand to be more inviting to customers.
To the Management:
The food is excellent and they make you feel like you are family. It is a wonderful place.
That is when I walked out. I couldn't make it past the front of the room. I was truly disappointed, seeing that I have read and had countless people tell me how wonderful this restaurant is.
2. Walking through the door all of the licenses and paperwork on the wall looking like posters glued to the wall at a New York construction site. I would suggest that you buy a frame and place those items in it before posting. That would appear more professional.
We sat at a grill today, sushi was good, steak was fantastic, chicken was fantastic, chef and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for an amazing lunch! Also- I didn’t smell any smoke, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area that serve the same food.
