My roommate and I desired to order cultural Chinese fired rice for our girls night in at our humble abode. We simply wanted rice. That’s it. Nothing more and nothing less. We are in the fragile stages of continuing our higher education and don’t have the sufficient funds for anything more than that simple greasy sustenance. The good thing about Chop Chop is that it is good food and cheap as well.
So, a letter to the Chop Chop in Amarillo Texas, please change this policy.

Where to begin: the flow of this wannabe-trendy restaurant is horrible. You walk in and are greeted by employees at cash registers asking for your order but there's no menu to look at??? After asking where the menu is, they say it's on the other side of the wall??? Who designed this place?? So then you order and you're lucky if they remember everything. I had to ask to get my drink cups (20oz is the largest they have - are you kidding me?). Now to the food: it's just slathered in soy sauce. The chicken is overcooked and dry. What they call teriyaki sauce is just soy sauce and pineapples. You could literally make this at your home and it'd probably taste better. Steer clear of this place - there are way better choices out there for you
Really good food. buT WHEN I ASK FOR A BUNCH OF ORANGE SRIRACHA THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH AND I GET ONE HALF FILLED CONTAINER I AM TRIGGERED. THEY DO THIS EVERY TIME AHHHHHHHH GIVE ME ALL THE SAUCES IT LITERALLY MAKES THE WHOLE MEAL
Went to visit family in Amarillo. We all decided to go to Chop Chop for lunch. Absolutely the best choice. We all ordered teriyaki chicken, and eggrolls. Even the lighter portion was filling! The prices were decent, as well. Loved the orange sauce and sweet & sour mixed with my chicken and fried rice! Our kids loved the egg rolls. Will definitely return on our next trip to Amarillo!
The food is fresh and tastes great! Fast food without the fast food taste or feel. Lunch can be particularly busy since there is a high school nearby and they offer student discounts. I have never had to wait very long and it has always been worth it. There are several sauces that you can take to your table to try on the different dishes.
However, when you want Chop Chop to deliever, you must order over 20$, not including the delivery Fee or tips. We are two broke college girls on the verge of our monthly cycles and all we wanted was a night in, fried rice, and a movie. That’s it. But NOOOOOO!!!
So, I actually love Chop Chop. But this review is due to their poorly constructed policy on food transportation and distribution(I.e. delivery).
