Had a family member recently in the ER then admitted service in both departments was great. Nurses and Doctors were both very knowledgeable and polite.
Best hospital in Amarillo! Vicky S. is a wonderful nurse. She's very kind. Luke W. is also sweet and very professional. Great experience!
Dont not use this Er, go to northwest, since they rebuilt this place it has gone to hell in a hand basket!!
Worst experience ever.. For the last 10 yrs I've lived in Amarillo I have always chose BSA,but today has completely changed my mind.. Dr Stephen Neumann and his nurse Jaclyn F were horrible.. Treated us like it was an inconvenience to be asked questions or just to get treated properly. Instead we got hurry up the quicker you give a urine sample the quicker you can leave. Sorry but some people are seriously hurting or having some pain.we chose to go to the ER cause we do not have a primary and we have been pretty health but when something happens and you don't know what is wrong you want comfort or reassurance that the ER you are going to will care for you or even show you some compassion. What we were shown today was the opposite..im not one to bad mouth anyone but BSA I'm sorry you can do all the upgrading renovating you want but the experience starts with your doctors and your staff.. Northwest or what BSA calls them Northworst they just got new patients and personally my insurance has BSA as our go to hospital but for me I will gladly pay out of network to go to Northwest
I went around March 13 - 24th for emergency appendicitis and sepsis. And the nurses there are the absolute best. I mean, they cared nonstop. For my visit there, walking was the last thing in my mind but every time I did they would cheer me on, even if the pain turned into tears. Pushed me every step of the way. When they would insert the blood thinners into my thighs, my hips, and my stomach, when they would take blood from my arms or move my IV they would always hold my hand even before I'd ask for it. (I guess they noted my fear of needles) I also had people that were there for me and they cared for them too. "Are you guys comfortable?" "Do you need any extra pillows and blankets?" The bond I gained with these Ladies was unbelievable. The day I was discharged I had a good amount of nurses cry. Crazy how much you can impact someone in such a short (yet long) amount of time. Love BSA and their workers. To the moon and back.
