This place was outstanding! Dr. Boothe was extremely nice, she actually seemed worried about my tooth! I decided to try out Dental Works due to a terrible experience I had at another, newer office in town (Aspen Dental). There is no comparison, Aspen Dental was staffed with rude folks who's main job was to act as salesmen, and their dentist's demeanor was on par with Army dentists, and I can tell you, Army dentists are the worst. The great folks at Dental Works took care of me straightaway. The fees and associated costs were also very agreeable.
In all my years of seeing a Dentist and Hygienist, this was probably one of the worst exam and cleaning I have ever had. The Hygienist, Melissa was very rough and unprofessional. She literally scraped my teeth till I was bleeding, then the polishing was done in 5 mins. had clumps of paste stuck to my tung and she sprayed water all over my face . Have never had a cleaning like this in 50 yr.'s. Get my teeth cleaned every 6 mo's and use a Sonicare Toothbrush. Dr.Boothe/Ollinger did not introduce herself, so assumed she was one of the assistants, did a minimal exam and charged me for a comprehensive exam, took one x-ray, did not check my teeth after they were cleaned and ended up with an infection two days later. Of course no one on call, so the receptionist called in an antibiotic for the weekend. Good Grief. Good ole Texas care.

I've been paying on that $1600 for almost a year now and have yet to see a statement. Good thing I keep careful track of how much I've paid and how much I owe, because I don't think they do. Stay away from this place.
All the staff in the office are wonderful! My teeth are well taken care of by Amarillo Dental Works.
First let me say that I actually liked Dr. Godfrey herself. However, her office staff (not the hygenists, but the people up front) were/are awful. Also, they charged our insurance wayyyyy too much and we ended up having to pay $1600 out of pocket even though we had good dental insurance. As someone who has worked in the medical billing field, I have to say their billing practices are iffy at best.
This place is called Amarillo Dental Works, get an independant Dentist and Hygienist with more than 4 yr.'s in practice. It's hard for Medicare patients to get good Dental care and I have all my teeth, so if u want to keep them pay the extra cost to go out of network. Hard lesson learned.
