They have incredible customer service and gave me a ride to my destination once I turned my car over to them. They have been extremely helpful and have sent me pictures about what was wrong with my car. This helped me know I was not getting ripped off. They also helped me communicate with third parties. If you need to get your car worked on and don't mind spending a little bit more, visit their shop.
1. There is a technician named "Red" who puts helicoils on oil pan drain plugs which will leak later.
4. Oil change service is way over priced.
Thanks to Aardvark for destroying my oil pan threads and covering it up by putting a "helicoil" on an enlarged oil plug to make it look like someone else did it. Here's how I know, today I did my very own oil change after having the oil pan replaced by another shop. The threads were buttery smooth. I could use my fingers to turn the plug then snug with a 17 wrench.
--------
Anyone who does oil changes would have noticed this right away, especially an Aardvark technician. I paid way too much money ($150) for the oil change for a brand they push with additives called BG. Guess what? Do a google search of top Synthetic motor oils. BG does NOT even make top 10. Mobil 1 is much better and the standard oil in NASCAR. Walmart sells Mobil 1 Extended Full Synthetic 5 qt for $25 and Mobil 1 Extended oil filter for $10. Shame on me for not doing my research and not seeing the red flag when I got a quote for an oil change. BG could be a good motor oil but not for what the Amarillo shops are charging. Some good motor oil brands are: Mobil, Shell, Castrol, Royal Purple and Pennzoil.
2. Unfair work ethics. The favored technicians get easier jobs that make more money while the more expert technicians get difficult jobs and make less.
3. Owner and service manager are aware of these unethical practices.
Shame on you Aardvark!
I have the old oil pan and the threads were so bad there was no way to turn it with your fingers both directions.
Review coming shortly but I've received information of a repair shop scam at Aardvark. I'm in the process of getting my source to have his information written down. If you are on Facebook, please post your review and I'll be in contact with you.

We were traveling through Amarillo when we had an issue with our car, Googled for a European car specialist shop. In the am we took the car .to Aardvark Automotive, the service manager got us right in, the Technicion performed a full scan of the computers, performed a road test, and cleared the codes. Although the scan didn't reveal the issue the technician suggested the issue was just a hickup between the performance throttle body and the computer. He then assured us the car was performing as it should, and we could finish our trip without any issues. He was correct. The staff was polite, kind, and very knowledgeable. Money well spent for the peace of mind. Many thanks to Aardvark Automotive.
Excellent customer service. The nicest people I've ever met that fix cars.
Scam alert! Heard another testimony of a former customer of AA that wanted money for a repair that wasn't needed. Shame on you AA for doing this and thinking others won't know about it.
Incredible service. Understanding and nice people work here. Ended up not getting service with them because my insurance came and picked up the water damaged car. They still were very kind and offered me a ride and everything. Highly recommend.
