Easy in and out, large level sites, very quiet and comfortable, well located to explore the area. You're only minutes away from classic Route 66 icons, and the wonderful Palo Alto Canyon in only an hour or so away. We spent three nights there, and could have done more had we not been on a schedule. Hard to go wrong with this place, we highly recommend it.
East to get in an out of. This was my first trip pulling a 30 ft travel trailer, and this was our first stop on the trip. Needless to say, I was a little nervous. However, our spot was easy to get to, and easy to pull through. Hookups were east as well. The family and I appreciated the clean restrooms and showers as well. Will definitely keep Fort Amarillo RV Park on our list if we ever travel through Amarillo with a travel trailer again. I did not have any interaction with the staff. We arrived late, an left early the next morning. However, we called ahead to make sure all was set. The after-hours pick-up location was easy to find and the information contained therein was easy to understand.
Trash and park grounds are seen to daily. The infrastructure is dated but usable.
Always a Treat to stay here. Clean & level places to park, sparkling Restrooms & showers. The hot tub is soooo inviting after a long day of travel & the pool so invigorating. Must mention front desk. Always returns calls and gets you fixed up before hours or even after hours. Superb customer care. Now I have to give BIG Kudos to "Lizzie Maes" Gift Shop and the Ladies there. If they don't have it, it must not be made. Love Love the Quality items to fit any Budget. Beautiful Beautiful "Homey" Place. I only get to shop two times a Year and they recognize me every time. So Perfectly arranged & so clean. The air is filled with Aroma that takes your Heart and mind to any place that is Happy. Love this Place.
Very nice place to stay. Pretty full and the people that we did talk to were very nice. The gift shop was incredible! The best and most variety I've ever seen. Showers were nice and spacious. Playground for the kids. Nice laundry facilities and a pool. If ever in the area again we will definitely come back.
