I love this place. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. I love that I can go in, see some cool birds, and get what I need. If there is something I want, they can usually get it in the store for me!!! Keep up the great work!!
Very friendly helpful staff, and best selection of birds in Amarillo. Helped me pick out my new buddy Dundee the cockatiel, very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had.
I currently own four birds, all purchased from Texotic Pets. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. They have an excellent selection of toys and treats. We no longer live in the area, but we stop in each time we're in town.
My girls and I stopped in here to kill a little time today. The young girl who was working behind the counter never once acknowledged us or asked us if we needed help. She never smiled at us, made eye contact or made us feel welcome. We spent at least 10-15 min in the store looking around. My daughters loved seeing the birds and never touched the cages. We only saw birds as far as pets go, but lots of other good pet supplies. I kept a close eye on them. I’ve never visited before but I sure didn’t leave with a good taste in my mouth. I had considered buying a dog toy but changed my mind after such poor service. Judging from the other reviews, this is not the typical experience but I would be hard pressed to recommend it or return.
Best place in the Panhandle to buy hand-tamed birds, get wings and nails trimmed, and buy food, toys, and supplies. They are very friendly and have expert knowledge of birds. They also have a great selection of food, toys, and supplies for cats and dogs. I have bought some of the best dog toys (that actually last and dogs play with over and over) from Texotic Pets. Check out Canidae - it is great, high quality, grain-free food for cats and dogs.
