I was excited when Papa Murphy's opened here. I'm someone who likes to cook at home when I can. The prices are reasonable and the toppings are pretty good, but I am not a fan of the sauce or crust. Those two things are what make it taste like store bought pizza.
I like the pizza options available here, so it's worth the few minutes to bake the pizza myself. Friendly service! The only issue I have with baking pizzas made by Papa Murphy's is trying to get a crispy crust without burning the pizza. They do have helpful instructions on making your baked pizza more crispy (if that's what you like), but it never seems to work the way I prefer. I end up with a semi-soggy pizza in the middle, and super crispy (almost burned) crust around the edges. Maybe I will figure a way to fix this issue, but for now it's my biggest issue I have with the 'take and bake' concept. Overall, I think this is a great way to do pizza if you have the time. In my opinion, it seems a little pricey if you compare the many pizza deals available around town. So, there are pros and cons to 'take and bake'. If you haven't tried it, I say "give it a go!" and see what you think. Overall, a recommend for pizza lovers!
