A couple of months ago I purchased a used Dodge vehicle and was referred to these guys for a new key fob for a simple lock/unlock feature. I arrived and was greeted by a representative and given decent service. not really any complaints there. He did his job and made sure the key fob worked. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was charged $200 for his service and was on my way. Everything seemed to be working fine until one day the key fob started acting up. It was very sensitive and would unlock my car unintentionally. Obviously these things happen. Sometimes

Before you buy anything from them.......Give this a read......

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church always uses Ace Lock and Key to re-key door locks, make keys, repair locks etc. They are always kind, courteous and pleasant. They are very timely in getting the job done. Very VERY pleased with their service.

Don't waste your time all they wanna do is sell you new stuff when your stuff already works. Also they ran a special for Google reviews so don't trust what you read..

things are faulty or they mess up. not really a problem as long as I can get it fixed right? So, I make my way to this business once again to have them look into the problem. I told the representative about my issue and he DID come outside and take a look and he even took the fob apart, but he only handed my key back to me and stated there was nothing they could do about it, besides of course, buy ANOTHER $200 fob and have it reprogrammed. He also stated it was a common problem with Dodge, which may be true, but clearly the remote was the problem, not the car. Well, obviously I wasn't keen on buying another fob especially if the first one doesn't work. I was hoping they would have some kind of customer satisfaction guarantee with their products, especially with expensive equipment, but clearly they do not. Upset, I took my vehicle to the Dodge dealership and asked for a quote on my car to have the fob replaced. I was quoted $150 or so for the key fob itself and to be cut, and another 60 bucks to have it programmed. So, in short only a few dollars more than what Ace Lock charges, but the difference was it was an actual OEM part, which means it was made at a Dodge factory specifically for their products. I immediately noticed some differences in the key cut and quality of the fob. I have attached some pictures of the new Dodge factory fob I purchased (left) and the Ace Lock fob (right). You'll notice the OEM fob has a serial number, the company Logo and dodge guarantees their products. It also has a different cut in the key. There are some noticeable grooves in the key itself as well. The Ace lock key does not have any of the dodge markings. This means it is an AFTERMARKET product. I did some light research and found these key fobs ACE lock uses can be purchased on the internet for roughly 18 dollars per key. (See attached photo). So, if the key costs 18 dollars, but I paid 200 for the service why couldn't I get another key? And how much did I pay for the key programming? Dodge gave me an itemized list for all the work that was done dollar for dollar based on my VIN number. I feel Ace lock and key has completely taken advantage of me and ripped me off. They seem to run a complete SCAM of a business and do not even attempt to try and fix any problems to the fullest of their ability. I will never return for any repeat business and I will not recommend them for any services in the future. Please do not waste your money. Go to the dealership and spend the SAME money and get the OEM part and save yourself the headache.

Now before I begin, I am only speaking on my personal experience with my vehicle. I have not experienced anything relating to their locks or duplicate home keys.

Absolutely amazing service! They were able to cut a difficult key and replace the special key to my vehicle for way less than the dealership!

I came here about four years ago to copy a Kawasaki motorcycle key that nobody else in town could do without special ordering it. They had one in stock and cut it perfectly for me. The price was reasonable if I remember correctly. My only complaint about this place is the lack of parking.
