I was driving through Amarillo yesterday early morning time and my check engine light came on. I have had that happen before and sometimes that is nothing more and sometimes it can mean trouble. I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me with not much in the way of service so I felt the need to get it checked in order to avoid an issue and miss a funeral I was trying to make. I happened to be right by AutoNation Chevrolet on I-40 (shout of thanks to the Lord!) so I stopped in to check what it might be and Olga (service advisor) came right out. She quickly listened to what I had to say and then hooked up the scanner right there and we were able to diagnose and decide what to do. She was very helpful in getting the car in and up on the rack so the mechanics could take a look. They were prompt and efficient and thankfully didn't find anything major to be concerned about. I was able to get a few recommendations for service and be on my way for the funeral I was to attend and made in time. Olga kept checking on things the entire 1-1/2 hours I was there so I felt good about everything. Thanks to Olga and the staff and workers there for their help, and I would recommend them to anyone who needed service.
I drove from Oklahoma to look at a used truck they had for sale. I told them I was driving 200+ miles to check it out and had them take a deposit. The truck runs great, and is a very decent vehicle. Their customer service lacks severely. The salesman, Tim, said it had a bad tire on it. When I got there, it had 3 really dry rotted tires and bald tires, and they had replaced the "bad" tire with the original spare (from 2003). My issue with that was that I had a 3 1/2 hour drive home, on tires that were not safe - and they knew this. They said it passed inspection, and there is no way! I checked the tread myself with a penny and showed them.
The sales people were really good not pushy like other places I've been to they try there hardest to make u happy. The sales manager and his crew are excellent. Thank you

Very great experience buy my truck with these guys. The reason I am giving them three stars is when I bought my GMC truck from them the windshield was cracked. I agreed to buy the truck if the would replace the wind shield. They told me that wouldn’t be a problem. I still have not heard from them!!!
The whole ordeal was painstakingly slow. I needed a few minutes to talk to my husband about taking this truck home. Our salesman took off to do other things, and by the time he got back, their one finance guy was swamped. We got there at 3:45 PM, and didn't leave until after 7 PM. That would be normal if I had to finance through the dealership, but I came with check in hand, so all I had to do was sign a few things and give them the check - which is super fast and easy, less than 30 minutes. The whole reason it took so long was because they do only have one guy in their finance department to do everything (not his fault, he was efficient and quick!), and our salesman couldn't be bothered with us and left to do other things. They did compensate me for around what it costs for new tires; $1100 off - I spent $1200 at Discount Tire the next morning. I could have gotten cheaper tires, but I haul a big horse trailer and I prefer a warranty and free repairs and rotation.
This dealership took me in right away without hesitation. They took the time to figure out the root of my problem when it came to the Check Engine Light. All work was completely in less than 7 hours.
The truck is great, it ran perfect all the way home, has really low miles and has been well maintained. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The fact that they would try to tell me it passed their inspection on the tires is a joke. I have a vehicle registered in Texas and I know how inspection works, there is no way it would pass safety.
All that said, if you go here, expect to have a really long wait, and if you're coming from any distance, get there early in the event you need new tires. It was after midnight by the time we got home because there was no way I was risking doing 70-75 on those.
