Appreciate KOA for allowing us to have our Volkwagen Dust Bowl Jamboree here! Very nice facility with great amenities. We pitched our tent right across from the very well maintained restrooms/showers & pool. My son spent a majority of the day in the pool & loved every minute. Enjoyed the flyovers of the various aircraft in & out of Amarillo International Airport & the Bell helicopter plant.
Only stayed one night on the way home from vacation in Colorado. Very clean including showers and restrooms. Staff very friendly. Lots very easy to back in to. Would definitely stay here again
Hosts were fantastic..friendly, courteous and respectful.. Extremely clean abd very good looking... I was right near this place 53 years ago as an Airman attending my Technical Training.. Great memories.I served for 30 glorious years.. I’d recommend and stay here anytime
The park itself is very nice. It is clean, well appointed with flat spacious sites with trees. However, there are railroad tracks close by with heavy train traffic and whistles through the night as well an airport with frequent take off and landings. The noise did not keep us awake because we were so tired. The only concern we had was that there was not an after hours phone number to call if we had problems with the site or facilities. We lost all power to our camper and there was no way to get help. We would stay here again but be better prepared to be self sufficient. The park is convenient and easily accessible even for big rigs. The staff was great too..
We stop in Amarillo several times a year and this was sure a pleasant surprise. Clean, well maintained and a super friendly staff. Great dog park and pool, and the WiFi actually works!! In sharp contrast to so many campgrounds, this one was alive with friendly campers walking their dogs or just walking. We were on our home stretch and stayed an extra night. Good job, KOA. You're getting better as many of your competitors circle the drain.
