Always try to give suggestions or areas of improvement in my posts:
They have some savory items as well as dessert. Everything is to die for. I recommend the white Russian and the bananas foster. Yummmmm. They don't have a lot of seating, so if it's a busy time, you may have to wait. But it's worth it.
I was in the town. This came to my mind when catching up with friends. We went there to relax and enjoyed the desert and drink. Awesome place! Foods, staff and service were great.
- Water : If your focal point of your stay is going to be a nice bottle of water to help you refresh prior to consuming a tasty beverage and/or dessert.... Then make sure it doesn't taste like hotel water. We all know that taste, you need a drink in the middle of the night while traveling and you ran out of bottled water and all you have to drink is the water from the bathroom faucet in the hotel. Little extra money in a filtration system goes a long way. In my opinion, it shows the customers that you care about the small details.
This was my first time and won't be my last. Great atmosphere to meet with friends or have a relaxing date night. Coffee was wonderfully prepared and on a positive note, Gluten FREE and VEGAN options on the menu.
The dessert was really good! The prices are a bit high, $7 for the chocolate peanut butter souffle thing and $8 for the dessert of the month, which was peach cobbler. Service was friendly and they are willing to let you sit and talk.
- To the Chef/Owner: Walk around and converse with the customers. This means a lot in a small shop and gives you a leg-up from the franchise restaurants. Meeting the chef during your stay gives it the personal touch that states,'This food isn't from a box... Would've liked to have met you and talk about helping expand your Vegan/Gluten Free/ dairy free choices. I have a 14 year old that would love to pick your brain...
- Atmosphere: Live local music in the background. Not loud 'in your face' but, soft piano, guitar, or jazz. Little touch of Amarillo added into this chic restaurant would go a long way and improve your customer experience. Also, consider a local comedian once a week or month, paid customers of-course, with an offering of dinner drinks and desert for a set price.
Staff- Wow, they all stayed busy and were very interested in the well bringing of the restaurant(cleaning, etc...) and of the customers. Greeted at the door with a smile and waited on promptly. One suggestion, knowledge of your dishes... It is critical to know the ingredients, tastes, etc... I didn't feel that this knowledge was present, the waiter had to go ask if the dish had cow milk. Tips and sales will only improve if they sell it to the customer.
I will be returning, for sure, many more times to fulfill the sweet tooth.
Always awesome. Had some beer that was coffee, chocolate and heaven in cup
